Green Crack lab report

What 1,236 state lab tests of Green Crack flower show beyond a single THC number: the odds of a strong batch, how published figures hold up, which terpene leads test by test, which strains share its terpene mix, how much the lab matters and how it reaches the shelf.1

Key findings

  1. 46% of 1,236 lab tests reached 20% THC or more; 3.4% reached 25%.1
  2. 3 of the 5 single published THC figures sit above the median lab result.1
  3. β-myrcene was the most abundant terpene in 75% of tests.1
  4. Closest terpene mix among 17 strains: Chemdawg (80% overlap), then Sour Diesel (79%).1
  5. Ranks 20th of 29 strains by median THC (19.52%), with the 11th-narrowest spread of 24.1
  6. Lab medians differed by 6.09 points overall and by 3.18 within Washington alone.1
  7. The highest-THC third of tests carried more terpenes than the lowest (1.63% vs 0.89% total).1

How likely is Green Crack to test above 20% THC?

46% of 1,236 state lab tests of Green Crack flower reached 20% total THC or more, about half. 3.4% reached 25% and 0.2% reached 30%.1

The odds depend on where the flower was tested: 56% of Washington tests reached 20% (748 tests), against 24% in Nevada (146).1 Each state has its own growers, labs and testing rules, so the gap describes markets as much as plants.

Do published THC figures for Green Crack match the lab results?

3 of the 5 single published figures we checked sit above the median lab result for Green Crack (19.52%).1 The highest figure, Crop King Seeds at 22%, was reached by 23% of tests.1,2

The 3 published ranges cover between 44% and 90% of tests, from 13–25% (Weedmaps) at the most to 15–20% (DNA Genetics) at the fewest.1,3,4

None of these figures describes a particular jar; only the certificate of analysis for that batch does.

Which terpene leads Green Crack, test by test?

β-myrcene was the most abundant terpene in 75% of the 167 tests that report individual terpenes, a consistent lead; β-caryophyllene led in 13%.1

Leafly names myrcene as the dominant terpene, and the lab tests agree: β-myrcene led in 75% of them.1,6

146 of the 167 tests come from Nevada labs, so the shares describe mainly Nevada flower.1

Which strains have the most similar terpene mix to Green Crack?

By the overlap of their typical terpene mix, the closest strains to Green Crack are Chemdawg (80%), Sour Diesel (79%) and Blueberry (79%); the least similar of the 17 strains compared is Durban Poison (40%).1

How it works: each strain's median level of eight terpenes is expressed as shares of their sum, and the overlap is the part of the mix two strains have in common (identical mixes score 100). Only strains with at least 30 tests reporting individual terpenes are compared. This compares lab chemistry only; it does not predict how a strain feels.

How strong is Green Crack compared with other strains?

By median total THC, Green Crack ranks 20th of the 29 strains in our lab dataset (19.52%), between Jack Herer (19.59%) and Durban Poison (19.45%).1 By the share of tests at 25% or more (3.3%), it ranks 24th.1

The middle half of its tests spans 4.94 points (16.79%–21.73%), the 11th-narrowest spread of the 24 strains with at least 30 tests: about average consistency.1

Does the testing lab change Green Crack's THC result?

Among the 11 labs that tested Green Crack at least 20 times, the median result ran from 15.91% (Lab H, Nevada) to 22.00% (Lab J, Washington), a gap of 6.09 points.1

The gap is not only between states: within Washington, the 4 labs with 20+ tests differed by 3.18 points (18.82%–22.00%).1

Labs test different growers’ flower, so a gap is not proof that one lab reads high; it shows how much the number on a label can depend on who grew and who tested the batch. Labs are anonymized here; the downloadable test file names them.

Does higher-THC Green Crack also have more terpenes?

Generally, yes. In the 362 tests that report both, the third with the most THC (19.73% or more) had a median of 1.63% total terpenes, against 0.89% for the third with the least (16.47% or less).1

The pattern held in 2 of the 2 states with at least 30 such tests (Maryland up and Nevada up).1 Total terpenes measure aroma compounds by weight; the comparison says nothing about effects.

Is Green Crack getting stronger?

Median THC went from 19.01% in 2018 (271 tests) to 21.00% in 2023 (120), +1.99 points.1

Holding the state fixed changes the picture: in Washington, the median went from 20.22% in 2018 to 20.00% in 2023, −0.22 points.1 Much of the overall change comes from which states supplied the tests in each year.

Years with fewer than 20 tests are left out.

In what forms, and under what names, does Green Crack reach testing labs?

Of 1,736 lab results under exactly the name Green Crack, 80% were flower; concentrates 12%, shake and trim 5.2% and other or unrecorded 1.4%.1 Only flower enters the figures on this site.

Another 156 results carried a longer name that contains Green Crack, 8.2% of all results with the name in them, led by “SVC Green Crack Distillate” (24), “Buds - Templar x Green Cush #1” (13) and “CBD Green Crack” (11).1 Extra name words, cross markers and CBD versions mean these may not be the same plant, so they are excluded (how we match names).

How common and how pricey is Green Crack on dispensary menus?

In our Weedmaps snapshot of 27 US markets (Oct 3, 2026), 274 store listings within 50 miles of each market's center carried Green Crack flower, in 15 of the 27 markets: the 3rd most of the 16 strains we track.10

Its median exact-eighth price was $30.84 in Los Angeles (typical other strain: $27.50), $28.00 in New York (typical other strain: $35.00) and $15.00 in Detroit (typical other strain: $16.00).10 That makes it cheaper than the typical strain in 2 of the 3 markets we could compare.

What this data cannot tell you

  • A particular jar: lab results describe flower sold under the name across 9 states from 2015 to 2024; only a batch’s own certificate of analysis describes that batch.1
  • Effects: these are chemistry measurements. None of them predicts how a strain will feel to a particular person.
